Salt Lake Elementary students in Grades 3-6 will begin taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in English Language Arts and Math starting Tuesday, April 22nd to Thursday, May 1st. Please help us encourage our dolphins to do their very best and demonstrate Dolphin P.R.I.D.E!

You can help by bringing aluminum cans and plastic bottles. All proceeds from the drive will be used to fund student council activities, including to fund our staff and student appreciation gifts (e.g. appreciation gifts on Student Appreciation Day). All cans and bottles must be received by 7:55 a.m. to count towards the class total.

Each year the Hawaii Department of Education asks parents/guardians to complete the School Quality Survey to gather feedback and information about your perception of your child’s safety and well-being at school, as well as your satisfaction with the school. Your responses are confidential and will help SLES in our continuous improvement efforts.

Aloha Salt Lake Elementary Ohana! Please join us in welcoming the WASC Accreditation team to our campus this week. The is the second accreditation visit for SLES, the last visit was in SY 2018-2019.

Kenneth's Photography will be on campus this Friday, February 28th for Spring Portraits! Dress Code must comply with the Dress Code policy in the Student & Parent Handbook. If you have any questions about attire, please ask your child's teacher.

This Thursday February 20th is our Monthly Papa John's Fundraiser! To participate, order from any Papa John's island wide and turn in the receipt the next day to your child's teacher or the school office. 25% of the recorded sales will be donated back to Salt Lake Elementary school to support school initiatives and programs. The class with the highest sales will win a pizza party courtesy of Papa Johns! Congratulations and a high frenzy to our January winner, Mrs. Liddick's Grade 4 class!

We have extended our Fun Run Collection to Friday, February 21st.  We are asking every student to collect at least $10.00 to help us raise over $7,000 for technology and other school initiatives. For every $10 raised, students will receive 1 ticket toward our lottery prize drawings.
