SLES Professional Development Day There will be a Professional Development Day on Monday, May 12, 2025. There will be no school for students. The office will be open from 7:30-4:00 pm. School resumes on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Smarter Balanced Assessments Begin for Grades 3-6! Salt Lake Elementary students in Grades 3-6 will begin taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in English Language Arts and Math starting Tuesday, April 22nd to Thursday, May 1st. Please help us encourage our dolphins to do their very best and demonstrate Dolphin P.R.I.D.E!
Student Council Hi5 Recycling Drive on April 16th from 7:30-7:55 am You can help by bringing aluminum cans and plastic bottles. All proceeds from the drive will be used to fund student council activities, including to fund our staff and student appreciation gifts (e.g. appreciation gifts on Student Appreciation Day). All cans and bottles must be received by 7:55 a.m. to count towards the class total.

Each year the Hawaii Department of Education asks parents/guardians to complete the School Quality Survey to gather feedback and information about your perception of your child’s safety and well-being at school, as well as your satisfaction with the school. Your responses are confidential and will help SLES in our continuous improvement efforts.
WASC Accreditation Visit from March 3 - 6, 2025! Aloha Salt Lake Elementary Ohana! Please join us in welcoming the WASC Accreditation team to our campus this week. The is the second accreditation visit for SLES, the last visit was in SY 2018-2019.
