Student Council

Welcome to the Student Council website!
In Student Council, we learn leadership skills while planning and helping with school activities and events in the school and community such as our assemblies, recycling drive, appreciation activities, service activities and much more!

Our theme for the 2023-24 school year is "Reflect....To Move Forward".  As complex thinkers, we think about challenges that we face and to think about how to achieve our goals for the year.  We will look for the positive, learn from our mistakes, and always persist.

The Student Council leaders are responsible and they practice the Habits of Mind and the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey.  They encourage, inspire, and motivate students to live dolphin P.R.I.D.E. (Practicing Respect and Integrity, and Demonstrating Excellence) and strive to achieve the General Learner Outcomes (GLOs).

At the beginning of the year, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade homerooms elect 2 students who qualify with their General Learner Outcomes (GLOs) to be Student Council Representatives.  They will be communicating and reporting to their homerooms and buddy classes, and they will work in committees for the various activities that the Student Council plans.
