School Reopening Update: Tuesday, August 18

UPDATE 7:29pm

Aloha SLES Ohana,

We are pleased to share that our campus power has been fully restored! As a precaution, we still recommend that students bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a portable fan (battery/rechargeable) to ensure they remain comfortable should we experience any further fluctuations.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of our school.

Malama Pono,

Mr. Galeon

Aloha SLES Ohana,

Following this weekend's storm, we have been working hard to prepare our campus for the return of our students and staff. We are pleased to confirm that our campus sustained no major structural damage. Thanks to our diligent recovery efforts, all debris and downed trees have been cleared, ensuring a safe campus for our students and staff.

We are happy to announce that school will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18, 2026. We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus.  Since we are unsure about the return of our school’s power, we are asking that students bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a portable fan (battery/rechargeable) to help keep cool.

We are aware that some in our community are still without power and may need another day.  If your child needs to stay home tomorrow, please contact our office at 808-305-1600.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the recent issues.

Malama Pono,

Mr. Galeon
