Student Council Recycling Drive

The Student Council is hosting a HI-5 Recycling drive on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025.  You can help by bringing aluminum cans and plastic bottles.  All proceeds from the drive will be used to fund student council activities, including to fund our staff and student appreciation gifts (e.g. appreciation gifts on Student Appreciation Day).

Please do not park in the parking stalls.  Parking stalls are reserved for the faculty only.  If you are dropping off recyclables & your children, you may either :

1) Enter the left lane of the entrance and take the second left turn.  Children will be escorted from the drop off point across the crosswalk.

2) Or you may drop off recyclables & your children from the  right lane in front of the office.  Please let our helpers know and they will help remove your recyclables from your car. 

If possible:

• Rinse out the cans and bottles

• Separate the plastic bottles from the aluminum cans 

• Write the student’s name,  grade, and room no., to track class participation

• Ensure cans and bottles are empty

• Remove the bottle caps from    the plastic bottles

• Plastic bottles are required to have the labels still on them
