SLES BOOK CHARACTER PARADE INFORMATION
Purpose:
To kick-off National Young Readers Week in November
- To develop school spirit and pride
Criteria for the Book Character Costume
Character must be from a book
Habits of Mind - Creativity and originality
GLO #4 – Quality Producer - costume looks good
No scary costumes or weapons
Students will wear their school uniform and change into their costume at school
Students may carry the book they are portraying and/or a prop if it is essential to the costume (this is optional)
