This Thursday, September 18th, is our Monthly Papa John's Fundraiser! To participate, order from any Papa John's island wide and turn in the receipt the next school day to your child's teacher or the school office. 25% of the recorded sales will be donated back to Salt Lake Elementary school to support school initiatives and programs. The class with the highest sales will win a pizza party courtesy of Papa Johns!

Together with the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, SLES is hosting a 3Rs School Recycling Drive on Saturday, September 13th from 9:00-11:00 am in our school parking lot. This is an opportunity for families and community members to drop off a variety of items to ReUse and ReCycle! All proceeds from redeemable HI-5 containers, scrap metal and used cooking oil will be donated to the SLES Student Council.

We're thrilled to announce that Mr. Randall Galeon has been selected as the new Principal of Salt Lake Elementary School, effective July 22, 2025. Mr. Galeon has been an invaluable part of our school community, serving as Vice Principal at Salt Lake Elementary for the past eight years. We're excited for his continued leadership in this new role!

Thursday May 15th is our last Papa Johns fundraiser for the school year! Order from any Papa Johns island wide to help SLES raise funds for school wide initiatives. 25% of the recorded sales will be donated to SLES!

There will be a Professional Development Day on Monday, May 12, 2025. There will be no school for students. The office will be open from 7:30-4:00 pm. School resumes on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Salt Lake Elementary students in Grades 3-6 will begin taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in English Language Arts and Math starting Tuesday, April 22nd to Thursday, May 1st. Please help us encourage our dolphins to do their very best and demonstrate Dolphin P.R.I.D.E!

You can help by bringing aluminum cans and plastic bottles. All proceeds from the drive will be used to fund student council activities, including to fund our staff and student appreciation gifts (e.g. appreciation gifts on Student Appreciation Day). All cans and bottles must be received by 7:55 a.m. to count towards the class total.
