Grades K-2 English Learners

 

Welcome to our SLES Grades K-2 English Learner page!  My name is Mrs. Sumajit and I will be the K-2 EL teacher this school year.   This will be my 15th year at Salt Lake Elementary School.  Previously I was a Kindergarten teacher, Grades K-2 EL Teacher and for the last 4 years I have been the Curriculum Coordinator.   Due to the ongoing pandemic, school and education looks and feels very different.  Distance Learning requires flexibility and creativity in supporting all leaners and during this time, asynchronous (recorded) lessons will be shared on a weekly basis with our ELs.  Lessons will be posted in Seesaw on Wednesdays and due the following Tuesday.   Feel free to  contact me at (808) 305-1600 or lori.sumajit@k12.hi.us if you have any questions or concerns.
